I like this recipe for white bread...it's not sweet like some of the recipes I've found before and it's really easy. I use margarine instead of lard.

I have a really good butter cream icing recipe:
1/2 cup margarine (one stick)
1/2 cup butter flavored Crisco
1 tsp. vanilla
approx. 3/4 bag of confectionary sugar
A few tablespoons of milk (the more you add the thinner it will be)
If you want chocolate frosting - add a little less sugar and replace it with powdered cocoa.
We use this all the time and everyone loves it!
